Teaming with Leon Springs Volunteer Fire Department to provide emergency services to northwest Bexar County.
The ESD 4 Board has an initiative on the November 5, 2019 ballot for a 1.5% sales tax in the district. Sales tax funds will be used to pay for a new fire station, maintain and reduce property tax rates, and to purchase addition first responder vehicles for medical emergencies and vehicle accidents along IH-10. Additional information is in the link below.
As noted, the Emergency Services District No. 4 will lower property taxes in 2020. The ESD 4 tax rate for 2020 will be $0.054060 per $100 assessed valuation which will generate $1,627,602 in tax revenue. The tax rate is a 0.01% decrease from the 2019 effective tax rate of $0.054061 per $100 assessed valuation.
The ESD 4 has completed the purchase of 3 acres of property at the corner of Ralph Fair Road and Presidio Haven. Below is a rendering of our new fire station. Construction is planned to start in January 2020.
